Maexchen or 21

... games are also part of our traditions. Here's a popular dice game from Germany:

Maexchen
What you need:
-1 container/cup
-2 dice
-2 or more players

Rules:

All Players start with 5 lives. The first player shakes the dice in the container and looks at his numbers secretly. The higher number of the dice is always the first number the lower one is the second – for example 5 & 6 gets 65. If you have a pair of numbers, the pair is always higher than the regular numbers. If you throw the number 21 there is not a number, which is higher. You rolled the Maexchen.
After the player has thrown the dice and saw the number he rolled, he has to decide if he`s going to tell the truth to the player next to him or if he wants to lie towards him. You have to lie towards him if the number you rolled is lower than (or as high as) the number, the player before you has thrown.

The player, who knows your number now has to decide if he`s going to trust you or not. If he trusts you, he will shake the container with the 2 dice inside and don`t have a look at the number. But if he doesn´t trust you he´ll take the risk that he might be wrong with the guess and is allowed to have a look at your number. If his guess was right and he caught you lying you´re going to lose a life. If his guess was wrong he´ll lose a life. The one who loses a life is the new starter.
