This
half-timbered house is located at the Babenhausen market square, directly
opposite the town hall. While the town hall was completely destroyed by an air
mine in the Second World War, only "little" damage was done to the
directly adjacent half-timbered house. At least the wooden frame resisted the
destructive effect. Only the compartment marked by the blue arrow was destroyed
in its structure. This is still visible today because the wooden beams visible
in the other compartments are missing. A small trace of the Second World War
that is still visible today.
